A representative told NintendoLife the delay is designed “to optimise the best possible launch timing of this title within the European market”. A new release date is promised soon. Blockbuster UK sold to Gordon Brothers Europe

Deloitte has completed the sale of Blockbuster UK to Gordon Brothers Europe. The firm purchased the brand license, 264 stores, and the 2,000 jobs which came with the buy. “Having identified a profitable core portfolio of stores we are pleased to have achieved this sale for creditors,” joint administrator Lee Manning stated. “Together with the previously announced store sales more than half of the original estate has been secured for ongoing use. This transaction provides Blockbuster a future in the UK.” The amount paid for the chain was not disclosed. Thanks, MCV.
