AU PS Plus April content includes Okami, The Cave, and Thomas Was Alone

20120820_okami

Sony Australia has highlighted PlayStation Plus content for the month of April; although we haven’t heard from the European or US teams yet, it’s likely there’ll be quite a lot of overlap. In any case, antipodean members will score Okami HD; Lord of the Rings: War in the North and The Cave from April 4. Zero Escape: Virtues Last Reward joins the collection on April 11, and Thomas Was Alone arrives on April 25. On top of that, new and returning members who purchase a 12 month subscription will score an additional 90 days for free; it stacks on your current membership balance, too.

Jak and Daxter HD Collection listed by South African online retailer

jaxanddax

BT Games, a South African online retailer, has listed an HD collection for Jak and Daxter on PS3. While nothing concrete has been announced by Sony, a source close to the matter hinted to Gematsu back in May that a “dark, dirty, and dangerous” collection was in the works. That hint, just so happens to be the name of a mission in Jak 3, which Naughty Dog released on PS2 in 2004. While BT Games notes the price and date for the collection are TBA, a placeholder date of January 20 is listed. We’ll be sure to send a mail on this. Thanks, Gematsu.

Killzone 2 release pushed back in South Africa

killzone-2

South African gamers looking forward to playing Killzone 2 on February 27 with the rest of us will have to wait just a bit longer.

Now, before you go off yelling “dat suig!” — it’s not that much of a delay. It’s only been pushed back seven days, so come March 6 you’ll get to hold a shiny, new PS3 shooter in your hands.

No reason for the slip’s been given, according to Lazygamer, but a delay is a delay no matter how small.

DS Lite launching in South Africa

dslite1.jpg

According to this, DS Lite is about to launch in South Africa, alongside New Super Mario Bros, Nintendogs, Mario Kart DS and Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training: How Old is Your Brain. South African gamers will be able to pick up four colours: white, black, silver and pink. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get the cobalt blue SKU, South African people, but we’re sure you’ll survive.

It’s a good day for South African Nintendo fans. Core Gaming Group, the distributor of Nintendo stuff straight down under, is also releasing Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Party 8 for Wii. That report also claims that the Wii Shopping Channel is launching in South Africa and that the country will now follow the PAL territories release schedule.
