Nintendo Direct – Sonic: Lost World exclusive to Wii U, 3DS
Nintendo Direct sessions for North America and Europe contained quite a bit of interesting information on the firm’s upcoming Wii U and 3DS titles for summer. During the event, the biggest take away was when Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced that the next three Sonic titles to be released from SEGA will be exclusive to Nintendo systems.

US PS Store and Plus update, May 14: Jacob Jones, Manhunt, Metro: Last Light
Sony has updated the US end of the PS Store early today, with pre-orders for GRID 2 and Resident Evil: Revelations. Metro: Last Light is now available through PSN, along with Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny and DUST 514. Manhunt is now available as PS2 classic, and Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery is out on Vita. DLC for Skullgirls, God of War: Ascension, Uprising for Black Ops 2 and the Ranger mode for Metro: Last Light are also on the docket.

NPD Online Gaming 2013 report shows a 5% increase in US online gaming

Games for Change 10th annual festival dated, tickets on sale
The Games for Change festival will be held this year June 17-19. Tickets are now on sale. A schedule of panels for the 10th annual new York event, which focuses the “positive social impact of games,” can be found here. Offerings through Nintendo’s North American eShop this week are a bit slim, so we’ll just get right to it. The promised Challenges mode is available for Rayman Legends on Wii U; Mega Man 4 us available through 3DS Virtual Console; SENGOKU has hit Virtual Console on Wii, Crazy Construction is available for 3DS, and Color Commando can be yours on both DSi through DSiWare and on 3DS.

Fire Emblem Awakening first month sales were 180,000, eShop downloads hit 63,000
Fire Emblem Awakening sold 180,000 units at North American retail, Nintendo has confirmed to Joystiq, making it the best first month sales in the history of the franchise. NoA also told the site that eShop sales were 63,000 units, which made up 35% of total sales. The last entry in the series, Shadow Dragon, has moved over 250,000 units in North America to date.

Curt Schilling asks judge to bin 38 Studios lawsuit
38 Studios founder Curt Schilling is facing a fraud lawsuit over $75 million in loans from the State of Rhode Island. In an attempt to cool the issue, Schilling has filed for the presiding judge to throw out the case.
