Sony has released a very odd trailer for its discontinued PocketStation device. It was a companion device for PSone that boasted an LCD screen and worked in tandem with a variety of titles. Sony has teased a reveal date for something relative to the handheld.

Rhythm simulation game Hyperdimension Neptunia PP (working title) is set to release on the PlayStation Vita next year in Europe and North America courtesy of NIS America, who acquired the rights. Both a retail release and digital version of the outer-space idol manager are planned.

NIS America have confirmed to Siliconera that Mugen Souls Z’s bath mini-game will be the only cut content when the JRPG makes its way to western PS3s next year. The mini-game was cut from the previous Mugen Souls localisation as well and from a Youtube video, seems to involve placing bananas and other fruits on semi-naked young looking girls.

Pokemon X & Y moved another 473,151 units in Japan, and was once again the reigning champion of the Media Create charts in Japan. Lifetime sales for the titles in the region, combined, have now hit 2,339,721 units. Monster Hunter 4 and Grand Theft Auto 5 swapped places, and FIFA 14 and Beyond: Two Souls both debuted, and landed at six and seven on the chart, respectively, for PS3. On the hardware side, PSP and Wii were the only offerings to see an increase over the prior week, but 3DS LL was still the top seller as usual with 94,988 units moved compared to Pokemon debut week when it moved 141,245 units.

Pokemon X & Y is barely out and already footage of a rumoured Pikachu title has appeared online. The game is said to be coming to 3DS and appears to feature a mechanic that sees Pikachu copying your facial expressions. It’s quite darling and/or terrifying.

Soul Sacrifice Delta has received 28 minutes of raw gameplay footage out of Tokyo Games Show 2013. The event was last month, but Sony and Comcept have only just released the clips into the wild. They show four-player co-op and solo play. Watch them here.

Ikaruga developer Treasure has successfully passed the Steam Greenlight voting process and is bringing the shooter to Valve’s store soon. It’s good news for fans of the game, but the Japanese studio has stressed that language barriers between both companies are making the procedure something of a “hand to hand fight.”

Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land, which releases in Japan in February, has some new screenshots available which you can have a gawp at over on Silisconera. The game takes place in a town called Oaktree Town where NPCs such as Madam Elise, Fritz, the elderly Edda live. Other farmers in town include a tutorial character, and each farmer has its own personality. The game includes the StreetPass feature and at present is 80% finished. No word on when or if it will head west just yet.

Pokemon X & Y moved over 1.8 million units in Japan in one day, according to Media Create, topping the charts for the week of October 7-13. Yesterday, Nintendo announced the games had moved over 4 million units combined worldwide within two days. Another new entry on the charts, Grand Theft Auto 5, didn’t do too shabby considering it had to go up against Pokemon: the PS3 version debuted at number two with 360,115 units moved and the Xbox 360 version moved 26,612 units for a combined total of 386,727 units.

Monster Hunter 4 developer Capcom has announced it has shipped three million copies of the RPG in Japan, setting a new third-party record on Nintendo 3DS.
