Tomodachi Collection: New Life continued its dominance of the Media Create charts this week, moving another 144,903 units. Combined with last week when it moved 404,858 units during its debut, the title has moved 549,761 physical units in Japan.

God Eater 2 video shows over nine minutes of footage
God Eater 2, the sequel to PSP RPG Gods Eater Burst, has a new nine minute video available below, which was shown during the Nico Nico Super Conference. As Gemastu noted, it’s rather blurry, but you still get an idea of how the Boost Hammer and Charge Spear work. Game’s due in Japan on PSP and Vita later this year.

Tomodachi Collection: New Life sparks 3DS surge on Japanese charts
Tomodachi Collection: New Life was the big seller in Japan the week of Apr 15 -21. It moved 404,858 for 3DS, while Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 debuted in second with 87,661 units sold on PS3. 3DS LL sales were up over the prior period by 28,950 units.

Nintendo financials fall 50% short of target, ¥7 billion profit in 2012
Nintendo has posted full-year profits of ¥7 billion for 2012, which is half of the company’s ¥14 billion projection. Regardless, this is an improvement over last year’s loss of ¥43.2 billion. The projection slump has been attributed to weak global sales of both Wii U and 3DS .

3DS app allows users to share screengrabs via social networks in Japan
Nintendo has announced it plans to release an app in Japan for 3DS which will allow users capture screenshots from select game titles. Users can then share the screencaps through Tumblr and Twitter. The app will be available for Tomodachi Collection and Animal Crossing: New Leaf to start with, and likely other titles will be implemented should it take off. There’s no word just yet whether the app will head west or not. Thanks, GoNintendo.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team 3DS LL bundle announced for Japan
A Luigi themed Nintendo 3DS LL will be released in Japan, pre-loaded with Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, it was announced today during Nintendo Direct Japan. The white handheld releases on June 18 and contains little green silhouettes of Luigi. It’s rather adorable, but then again, so is the Animal Crossing: New Leaf Hardware Bundle out June 11 in US, June 14 in the UK. Thanks, D’toid.
