Casual Connect Europe will take place next month in Hamburg, and approximately 1,700 attendees are expected to attend the three-day event. The conference is an opportunity for industry professionals to discuss challenges and trends in the casual sector, and have a few beers together. Confirmed sessions include topics such as browser, MMO, social, mobile, and other genres. Casual Connect takes place February 12-14. Thanks, Develop.

EU PS Store and Plus update, January 16 – DmC, Far Cry 3, Retro City Rampage, Resident Evil: Retribution
Far Cry 3′s High Tides co-op pack exclusively for PS3 lands on the PS Store today, via the usual, weekly update. Plus members can get discounts on Derrick The Deathfin and Rocksmith Packs, and Jet Set Radio for Vita is free. Members can also pick up Resident Evil: Retribution next week before the film is releases anywhere else. Capcom’s DmC Devil May Cry is also available for download today, as is Retro City Rampage. A second batch of sales for January have been announced. It’s all below the break.

Sony has posted its PlayStation Store charts for Europe and North America, and as usual, you’ll notice a difference between the two regions in the popularity contest. The NA chart combines full PSN and PS3 downloads, while the European charts are separate. Full results are below.

According to an email received by a Wiitalia reader, 3DS RPG Code of Princess will not be releasing at retail in Europe. An expected eShop launch is still on the cards, but Agatsuma reiterated that it hasn’t got a firm release window yet. Code of Princess arrived on the US 3DS eShop last week.

Donkey Kong Country titles will no longer be available through the Wii shop in Europe as of next week. According to a message on the shop, as of November 25, the titles Donkey Kong Country, Diddy’s Kong Quest and Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble will be removed from Virtual Console. Best nab it before it’s gone if you haven’t already. Thanks, GoNintendo.
