Toys’R'Us has confirmed it will have both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One units in stock this week. Even more delightfully, the stock will be sold online only, so you don’t have to jostle elbows with the hoi polloi; just hit refresh a gazillion times. The fresh stock will go on sale at 12:01am ET tonight, but the appropriate website already appears to be struggling.

GameStop has said it expects Sony to move 2 million or so more PS4 consoles by the end of the quarter. The figure was dropped during a call to investors this afternoon to discuss the firm’s latest financial figures, and notes its current allocation of consoles have sold out. The firm concluded that there are 2.3 million customers waiting for PS4 consoles. Sony announced last week that PS4 moved over one million units during its first 24-hours on sale in North America. NPD has said in addition to the $1.30 billion spent in the US on new physical video and PC game software during the July – September period, total consumer spend on other physical forms of content (used and rental) reached $436 million, and content in digital format generated $1.72 billion.

Sony has started placing PlayStation 4 kiosks around the the US where today select Sony Stores with have an ‘Experience PlayStation’, er, well, station set up. “Thousands” more are coming to other stores, like Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart.
