Andriasang has posted new information on Tokyo Jungle, which focuses on the various equipment your animal character can don. One interesting bit of gear, is roller skates for elephants, which help the animal to move faster. There’s also a sumo wrestler belt for the Japanese Tosa dog which helps it run faster for some odd reason. No word on whether hippos can wear tutus or not. The post also delves a bit into mini games, such as hunting giant rabbits.

Media Create has released its weekly retail chart for Japan, and Namco’s PSP title My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute Can’t Be Continuing topped software with 53,175 units sold for its debit. 3DS was once again sporting the hardware crown with 45,752 units moved. Sony has announced PlayStation Network Scheduled Maintenance will occur tomorrow starting at 10:00 am EDT/4.00pm BST until 2:00am EDT/8.00am BST on Friday, May 25. During the maintenance, users will be unable to use the following services: PlayStation Store on PS3, PSP and PS Vita, PlayStation Network Account Management, and PlayStation Network Account Registration. In addition, you will not be able to sign in to PSN from the web. If you wish to play online during the maintenance, then you may be able to do so if you sign in to PSN before maintenance starts. GAME has cancelled GAMEfest 2012, the retailer confirmed today. However, the chain said it has some “cool things in the works,” and GAMEfest may return in 2013. Thanks, MCV.

Microsoft has announced it annual Xbox 360 Appreciation Festival in Akiba will be held on June 17. Crimson Dragon, Lollipop Chainsaw, Steel Battalion Robotics: Notes, Anarchy Reigns, Operation Raccoon City, and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will all be playable at event which is held in the Akibahara district of Tokyo. Thanks, Andriasang.

GameStop has announced the GameStop EXPO 2012 which will take place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Centre in San Antonio, Texas on August 29. It’s basically like GAME’s expo in the UK, only it’s GameStop, and it’s in the US. The event will be open to GameStop PowerUp Rewards members, with general admission running you $35.
