EA has handed over $1.65 million to the American Cancer Society, just part of a whopping total the publisher raised for charity by offering a pay-what-you-want bundle.

Runescape 3 players raised over $90,000 to various charities using the free-to-play MMO’s Well of Goodwill during the month of November. Jagex said “many tens of thousands” of players chipped in in-game wealth and Bonds to secure $90,838 in donations for the Willow Foundation, SpecialEffect, Action For Kids, Games Aid, Internet Watch Foundation, HART and the DEC Philippines Typhoon Appeal. The Well of Appeal will remain in game but is currently closed as Jagex plots its next charitable drive.

GamesAid and Warner Bros. have teamed up to offer a special screening of KIng of Kong, the documentary on Steve Wiebe’s attempt to take the Donkey Kong record, in the Warner Bros. London preview cinema, on December 6 at 6:30PM. Tickets are available from Eventbrite for £12, with sales to benefit charity GamesAid.

This year’s Desert Bus for Hope marathon raised $522,348 for Child’s Play, with the heroic volunteers playing the world’s deliberately worst video game for over six days. The scheme has raised over $1.7 million for Child’s Play since inception in 2007. Child’s Play raised over $2.5 million this year, which it uses to purchase games and toys for hospitalised children, which have been demonstrated to assist in treatment and recovery.

Another white, commemorative special edition Xbox One handed out to Microsoft employees which worked on the console, is going up on the auction block for charity. This time, the Wounded Warrior Project will be the recipient of the money earned through the eBay auction. The current bid is $11,300. The last auction was held for UK charity GamesAid and the winning bid was £5,000.

The Humble WB Games Bundle, which went live earlier this week, has garnered $3,059,007 for the We Can Be Heroes charity thanks to 659,480 purchases with average price of $4.64. The highest contribution so far is $2,600. The bundle includes Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, F.E.A.R. 3 and Lord of the Rings: War in the North. Paying over the average price unlocks Scribblenauts Unlimited and Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition. There are 10 days left to purchase the bundle.

The white, commemorative special edition Xbox One that was auctioned on eBay has for charity has sold for £5000. The beneficiary of the sale will go to UK-charity GamesAid. The console was donated by an anonymous member of the UK Xbox team, and as part of the purchase, the new owner will also receive a launch team Rocky watermark to use on their Xbox Live gamercard, if they choose. If enabled, the watermark designates the user as a contributor to the Xbox One launch, but once enabled, watermarks cannot be disabled. Thanks, Eurogamer.

Twitch’s streamers and their viewers have raised more than $8 million dollars for various charities over the years, as part of events like Desert Bus for Hope, Speed Demos Archive’s Charity Marathons and Extra Life’s marathons. Twitch said this amount could increase exponentially with this year’s Extra Life marathon, which is due to start this weekend. Twitch says more than 4,500 broadcasters have already signed up to stream as part of the weekend.
