PS4: Sony to release ‘Smart Glass’-style app for Android & iOS

Peter Molyneux to give F2P Summit keynote and show Godus live

Sine Mora director forms new studio, next shooter coming in 2014

Sine Mora has been one of the most discussed scrolling shooters of the generation, so it’s interesting to hear that the game’s creative director Theodore Reiker has left developer Digital Reality to form a new studio – Prior Games. The developer has confirmed that he’s teaming up with another Japanese studio to release a new shooter in 2014.

iOS games brought in 3.5 times the revenue of Android in Q4 – report

A quick one for numbers fans; the App Annie Index’s Q4 2012 report shows iOS games are still bringing in significantly more revenue – up to three and half times as much – as Android releases, despite the latter platform’s increasing popularity. That said, Android’s Google Play store’s revenue doubled over the three month period while the App Store grew by just 20%. GamesIndustry has all the details.

Splash Damage’s RAD Soldiers has been played over 90 million minutes

Splash Damage’s RAD Soliders was released just before Christmas, and it has already been played by over 2 million players. On top of this, the minutes played accumulated to over 90 million and players have “sent 4.5 million turns in online play.” The firm noted the titles was the Christmas #1 game in on the App Store in the US, China, Russia, Brazil and the UK. The free-to-play game was recently updated and can be picked up on the App Store.

Final Fantasy: All the Bravest mobile teaser site appears, full reveal later this week

A teaser site for All the Bravest has been launched by Square Enix, and it clearly shows the silhouettes of Final Fantasy sprites fighting a Behemoth. Not the url has “ff_atb,” in it, and Gematsu also points to an iTunes link found in the source code, indicating it’s a mobile title. The site is expected to stop teasing folks on Thursday when it goes live. A trademark for All the Bravest appeared back in December.
