Someone accidentally pushed a button and BIT.TRIP.RUN!, the universal iOS port of Bit Trip Runner 2: Future Legend of the Rhythm Alien was accidentally released on the New Zealand App Store for a little while, before getting pulled. The release, which was priced at $5.29 in NZ, requires iOS 6.0 and is optimised for iPhone 5 equivalent devices. Check the trailer below.

The sequel to Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol is coming very soon, as 2K and Firaxis Games have announced Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies for Windows PC, iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. It’s set during the First World War and, as the name suggests, enters you into aerial battles over the Pacific Ocean.

The second installment to Sorcery!, the collaborative title from Fighting Fantasy co-creator Steve Jackson and text adventure company Inkle, is coming very soon to the App Store. Part 2, also known as Khare: Cityport of Traps, will double the narrative content of the first game, introduce complex story branches, new enemy types, and general improvements to gameplay.

Top of the league in mobile footie games for a while now, New Star Soccer is finally receiving an update, and it’s a big one. New Star Soccer 1.5 remodels the career structure, which asks players to consider whether they should retire in their prime or keep playing on with increasingly deteriorating skills. It also adds significant gameplay changes to bring the action much closer to the real thing.

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has cautioned mobile games developers about featuring aggressive in-app purchases in their games. This follows an investigation into whether children are being pressured or encouraged to fork out for new content within the app. The OFT has published new principles for consultation, which insist consumers must be told up front about in-game costs and advertising.

GTA 5 app iFruit has an update available through iTunes which addresses connectivity issues. It was reported by users last week when the game launched that there were issues connecting with logging into iFruit or experiencing constant “spinners” when loading. At the time Rockstar said it was aware of the issues and working on a fix. More information is available through the link.

Disney Infinity owners can now download an iPad app which allows them to create toy box worlds and import them into their console to play with the core game. Best part, other than the creation bits of course, is that it is free from now until October 5. The fully playable version has multi-touch controls, over 60 free items to build Toy Boxes, creations can be edited further on the console, and items unlocked in the console are immediately available in the app – which is a full standalone experience.
