The Evil Within trailer created by title-sequence veteran
Remember the unsettling live-action trailer that appeared last week to promote Shinji Mikami’s The Evil Within? Of course you do; it was goose-bump-inducingly good. It turns out the reason that it was so effective is that it was directed by Kyle Cooper, a veteran director who has created “over 150 film title sequences”, including The Walking Dead, Se7en and American Horror Story.
The Evil Within is set for PC, 360, PS3 and next generation consoles in 2014. In case you’ve not yet seen the trailer, you can catch it through the break.

UKIE calls for dev support in face of EU investigation into UK games tax relief
Last week, in was announced that the EU Commission is to investigate the case for UK tax breaks and stated that “It is not clear whether the taxpayer should be subsidising this activity.” Now, the association for UK Interactive Entertainment has asked that UK developers provide evidence to help bolster the case.

GAME now selling eShop codes
High-street retailer GAME has become the first retailer in Europe to sell Nintendo’s eShop codes online and in stores. The retailer is selling a number of Wii U and 3DS titles through its website, with six Wii U titles ranging from Singstar at £32.99 to Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge and New Super Mario Bros. U for £41.99.
