Angry Birds netted Rovio €75.4 million revenue in fiscal ’11
Rovio has recorded revenue of €75.4 million euros for FY2011, 30% of which came from licensing and merchandising The company’s employee count grew from 28 to 224 in the period. Profit stood at €48 million. The latest Angry Birds release, Space, has been downloaded more than 50 million times.

Bank holiday unnews – El Shaddai re-releasing in Japan
UTV Ignition is re-releasing El Shaddai in Japan, according to Siliconera, a story likely to set the tone of today’s UK bank holiday by mattering to less than a dozen people on a global level. The reprint is titled El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Encore Edition, and will be out on May 17. Looks like it’s just a 360 thing.

Video: 10 minutes of Fable Heroes in action
Fable Heroes, the cute spin-off from Lionhead’s Albion fantasy series, can be seen in all its gameplay glory below the drop. It’s out on Thursday for 800 MSP as part of the 2012 Xbox Live Arcade Next Promotion. As the ever-useful Wikipedia tells us, “Fable Heroes is an ‘action-packed hack-and-slash adventure’ set in the Fable Universe, the player plays as one of 12 characters from across the four Fable Games and are presented in a Hero Doll Form which are a recognisable item from the series.”
