Amazon match Best Buy to offer Xbox Live Gold discount
Xbox Live Gold cards are now available from Amazon for $35 in a bid to match Best Buy‘s offer at the same price.
The offer applies to physical Gold cards, with Amazon digital codes going for $40 and Best Buy having already sold out, reports Joystiq. Three-month Gold memberships are going for $21 on Amazon but stay at the full price of $25 at Best Buy, which is offering physical Halo 4 and Black Ops 2 12-month Gold membership cards for the $35 sale price, evening it out for some.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 title update for Xbox
An update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has been released by Treyarch for Xbox 360 and is said to be hitting PlayStation 3 “soon”.
The patch features a long list of updates, most notably perhaps is the addition of the Live Streaming feature to Public Match playlists. Thanks to ComputerAndVideoGames, who have the full patch notes of the improvements and new features.
The update comes in preparation for the Black Ops 2 Revolution DLC which drops January 29 on Xbox Live and includes the addition of four new multiplayer maps, a Zombie arena and the Peacekeeper weapon.

The latest update from Team Meat for their upcoming Mew-Genics game goes into what you can expect from the mail system in the game.
Courtesy of GameInformer, mail in the game is vital, keeping players abreast of their friends and enemies movements as well as upcoming contests. It’s also somewhat random and unpredictable what may arrive, it could be a Cat Fight invitation, violation notices, money from your children or an SSI check reminder.

EA release new NHL 13 trailer to help kick off the season
The NHL season finally started last week after months of feuding between players and team owner. Now that it’s kicked off, EA has released a new trailer to help get things moving along.
NHL 13 was released on the 11th September 2012 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, courtesy of Strategy Informer, who have the trailer available to watch.

DmC, Bioshock: Ultimate Rapture Edition and Angry Birds this week on PlayStation
The Drop has announced the new releases for PlayStation for this week. PlayStation 3 sees Devil May Cry, which is also on PSN, as well as Bioshock: Ultimate Rapture Edition, which includes both games and all additional content.
The PlayStation Network gets the Angry Birds trilogy and Corpse Party: Book of Shardow, on PS Vita and PSP. Meanwhile Disgaea: Hour of Darkness and Siren round it out as the PlayStation 2 classics.
