Samurai Warriors: Chronicles 2nd is coming to Nintendo 3DS as a sequel to the launch title of the same name, according to Siliconera. The sequel will feature a story mode with multiple endings, a mission clearing mode that you can play solo or in co-op with friends and online rankings.

It’s out in Japan on September 13.

Far Cry 2 and Funcom’s Dreamfall: The Longest Journey are the latest additions to GOG. FC2: Fortune’s Edition is $10 to pick up, while Dreamfall is yours for $15.

The latest batch of Project X Zone screens have shown the field and event scenes that players will come across. It’s out in Japan this summer for 3DS. Andriasang has them.

This week’s Famitsu is carrying confirmation of a May 31 Japanese release for the demo of Anarchy Reigns. The demo will come with a taste of the single-play portion and two options from multiplayer.

The Platinum brawler launches on July 3 in the US and July 5 in the UK for PS3 and 360. Andriasang has more on it, plus details on Bayonetta’s appearance in the game.

Ubisoft has released two videos for Babel Rising. One is for Move, and the other Kinect. The title is also slated for iOS and PC. Dates, formats and the trailers are below.

Deep Silver’s announced the GOTY version of Dead Island will launch on June 26. The new release will include the full vanilla version of the Techland zombie romp, as well as DLC Bloodbath Arena, Ryder White expansion and the Ripper weapon add-on. Pack shots for PS3 and Xbox 360 are below, and it will be made available on PC as well.

In case you need a reminder, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare launches on Steam tonight at 6pm BST. A GoG version will also be available. You can still pre-order it on Steam right now and be eligible for a 10% discount, or even a 15% discount if you bought the original Wake earlier this year. And then you can get to downloading, so happy days. Not for me, though. Damn it!

Sony’s announced a competition that will see budding presenters be in with the chance to front PlayStation Access for the duration of E3 week in LA. The winner will also get flights, accommodation and VIP access to the expo. Get details of it here.

The second map pack for Modern Warfare 3, for those who aren’t Call of Duty: Elite subs, is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace. The content includes three multiplay/Survival maps, two new Spec Ops missions and two new Face-Off maps. Get it queued here for 1200 MS points.

The maps are expected to release on PS3 next month.

Nintendo 3DS has sold 6 million units in Japan, according to Famitsu. The exact figure given by the publication is 6,017,206 sales. It comes as it was reported this morning that UK 3DS sales were about to hit the 1 million mark next month

2K’s announced XCOM: Enemy Unknown will launch on October 9 in the US and October 12 internationally.

BioWare’s detailed update 1.3 for Star Wars: The Old Republic, the key feature of which being a group finder for flashpoints and operations. Nolan North has said in a Eurogamer interview he’s to appear in the next Star Trek movie. North’s role, a cameo, came about after coming across director JJ Abrams whilst doing Super 8, with the Lost and Alias creator and his son two of North’s many fans thanks to the Uncharted series and his appearances as Nathan Drake.

Rovio’s teasing something the next Angry Birds release, this time tied in with Finnish Formula One driver Heikki Kovalainen. No other details are in the public domain on what it’ll entail, though. PocketGamer reckons this’ll be a web browser affair only, with no plans for an iOS and Android release.

Social studio U4iA, formed by ex-Call of Duty veterans Dusty Welch and executive producer Chris Archer, has announced its first game, Offensive Combat. The game is a multiplayer FPS that’ll come to browsers, with tablet and mobile versions also mentioned.

Namco’s announced a demo for Ridge Racer: Unbounded is now available to get on PSN, Xbox Live and Steam. The taster will include two races in the City Limit District, racing in either a street class Wolfseye GT or a super class Hurricana CX.

Namco Bandai’s announced Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will release in the US on September 11 in the US and September 14 in Europe.
