PlayStation 3 firmware update reportedly bricking consoles
Shortly after the release of a new firmware update for PlayStation 3 a few hours ago, reports of bricked consoles turned up. The firmware has since been pulled, and we’re awaiting more information on what action those affected should take. According to Gematsu the update allowed you to switch off trophy notifications via the System Settings menu.

Pinball FX2 offers free table to Steam users
Zen Studios will give away its new Pinball FX2 table Sorcerer’s Lair to all Steam users from June 21. Destructoid reports the table will be free indefinitely rather than as a timed promotion.
