Divinity: Original Sin Kickstarter a success, Mac and Linux versions confirmed

The Kickstarter for Divinity: Original Sin has been successfully funded. It will now be released for Mac and Linux, and new stretch goals and rewards have been announced. Torment: Tides of Numenera sets Kickstarter record with three hours to go

With three hours left on the Kickstarter clock, Torment: Tides of Numenera has hit $4,028,412 thanks to 71,911 backers, and that’s not even counting the over $176,000 earned through PayPal. The latest round of money tossed at the project has made the project the current Kickstarter record holder for most funding, besting Project Eternity. The project with the most funding from all areas was Star Citizen and its $6.2 million. To celebrate the milestone, inXile posted another piece of concept art, showing off a male playable character. Project Awakened devs polling fans on whether to continue crowdfunding endeavor

Project Awakened ‘s Kickstarter campaign fell short of its $500,000 goal earlier this week, but Phosphor Games isn’t giving up completely. Today, Joystiq noticed a poll on the official website, which asks participants whether they would be game for another round of crowdfunding. The firm is considering a direct PayPal account, along with the possibility of continuing “to work on the project in our spare time,” as it previously stated. Phosphor said it will announce its plans moving forward on March 13.

The initial funding goal of $900,000 was met – and then some – Wednesday evening, and now, thanks to 38,203 backers, the project’s funding is racing ahead and an enormous pace.

PayPal can now be used to fund PSN wallets online in North America

PlayStation Network users in North America can now use PayPal to fund their wallets online through Sony Entertainment Network. Already available in Europe, the option is only available online at the moment, and not through PS3. Elite: Dangerous gets teaser trailer, PayPal funding pledges now open
