Ubisoft refuses to comment on Pachter Ass Creed 2 and SC: Conviction rumours
Ubisoft has declined to comment on Michael Pachter’s predictions that Assassins Creed 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction will ship sometime before March 2010.
When VG247 approached Ubisoft this morning we were met with a resounding “no comment” from a senior representative for the company.
Ubisoft confirmed last year that it was “hard at work” on Assassins Creed 2 whilst Splinter Cell: Conviction community manager Chris Easton, told VG247 that it wil be “worth the wait.”
Don’t expect these rumour to let up any time soon.

Splinter Cell: Conviction’s new “visual direction is simply much better”
Splinter Cell: Conviction community development manager, Chris Easton, has told Videogaming247 today that not only is work on the game well under way, but that the “visual direction is simply much better” than what we’ve seen so far.
“Splinter Cell Conviction is certainly not canned, despite what the Internet rumour mill says, and won’t look significantly different to what you’ve seen before,” he said.
“The gameplay’s evolved a lot but the visual direction is simply much better than what you’ve seen.”
Easton added: “The gameplay has evolved from what we showed at Ubidays last year and when you see it again it’ll be worth the wait.”
Coloured us intrigued. No date as yet.

Easton hints at new Prince of Persia franchise
In an exclusive interview with videogaming247, Prince of Persia community development manager Chris “UbiRazz” Easton has hinted that the upcoming Prince of Persia title’s plot may lead to more games.
“This game is a whole story on its own and players are going to live through a complete adventure,” he said when questioned whether we’d see this new Prince appear in future titles.
“That said the story may lend itself to something more…”
Prince of Persia will be released on PC, 360 and PS3 at the end of this year.

Prince of Persia co-op now a “possibility”
Speaking to videogaming247, Chris Easton – Prince of Persia’s community development manager – has said that co-operative play in the upcoming action reboot may be explored.
An earlier statement, given by producer Ben Mattes at the recent Ubidays event, said that there would no co-op in the game at all.
“There are no plans for co-op as of now, but we may explore the possibility,” Easton told us.
Co-op seemed as natural feature of the game, given that play centres on the Prince and constant sidekick Elika, and it would seem that hope is not yet lost, despite Mattes’ comments.
Look out for more from our exclusive chat with Chris later this week.
