Player created shops are coming to Fallout 76

Your dreams of being a post-apocalyptic merchant are about to be realised. Player vending is coming to Fallout 76.

From the outset, it was clear that Bethesda wanted to create a sandbox in which players became the NPCs. The developer wanted people to roleplay in Fallout 76, but it didn’t provide enough tools to make its vision work.

In a recent blog post, Bethesda teased some updates that are on the horizon. There will be more weekly in-game events, new Vaults opening, a new PvP mode, and -the most exciting of all - player vending.

This update will allow players to set up shop and trade with other wasteland survivors, but exactly how it will work isn’t clear at this point. Will you be able to mark your camp as a shop, or will you load a vending machine full of equipment? Will you have to physically be there to sell goods, or can it tick over when you’re off hunting? Do you get a personal vendor robot? Can your shop be robbed?

The answers to all these questions and more will be coming at some point soon, but for now we just have to wait for word from Bethesda.
