PS4 games added to PlayStation Now this month, so you can play them on your PC

PlayStation Now has been expanded to support a whole new generation of games.

A stack of PS4 games have been added to PS Now's all-you-an-eat game streaming service in this month's update, which is pretty cool.

How many PS4 games your PS Now subscription unlocks depends on region. In North America, you're looking at the following 20 PS4 games:

  • Killzone Shadow Fall
  • God of War 3: Remastered
  • Saint’s Row 4 Re-Elected
  • Ultra Street Fighter 4
  • WWE 2K16
  • Tropico 5
  • F1 2015
  • Evolve
  • Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition
  • MX vs ATV Supercross Encore
  • Helldivers
  • Resogun
  • Broken Age
  • Dead Nation Apocalypse
  • Grim Fandango Remastered
  • Akiba’s Beat
  • Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky
  • Castlestorm Definitive Edition
  • Super Mega Baseball
  • Nidhogg

European PS Now subscribers get access to all of the above, with the exception of Akiba’s Beat. However, they also get a further 32 PS4 games, so can't really complain:

  • Heavy Rain
  • Tearaway Unfolded
  • Counterspy
  • Shadow of the Beast
  • Alienation
  • Escape Plan
  • Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture
  • Hardware: Rivals
  • This War Of Mine: The Little Ones
  • Day Of The Tentacle Remastered
  • Sherlock Holmes: Crimes And Punishments
  • Dungeons II
  • Back To Bed
  • Pure Chess
  • Pure Pool
  • Olliolli
  • Stick It To The Man
  • Blood Bowl 2
  • Super Stardust Ultra
  • Farming Simulator 15
  • Tour De France 2016
  • Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers
  • Grand Ages: Medieval
  • Pure Hold’em World Poker Championship
  • Q*bert: Rebooted
  • Fluster Cluck
  • The Last Tinker: City of Colors
  • Velocibox
  • Whispering Willows
  • Kickbeat Special Edition
  • Battle Worlds Kronos
  • Legend Of Kay Anniversary

With this change, PS Now catches up with Xbox Game Pass a bit, and gives subscribers the chance to play PS4 games legally on a Windows PC, which is pretty cool. How cool you think it is probably depends on what you think of the line-up; there's an awful lot of last-gen remasters in the mix, hey? Well, one doesn't usually expect these kinds of services to have the latest blockbusters.

To celebrate the news, Sony is offering new PS Now subscribers in North America a special deal of $10 for the first month, or one year for $100. You only have until September 22 to take advantage. There's no discount for existing subscribers, unfortunately.
