A bug in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare turned a sniper rifle into a smart bomb for one day

A new gun introduced into Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare this week was, for the day it was left live, able to clear a screen of enemies every time it was fired.

This news comes courtesy of PCGamesN. The gun is identified as the Proteus, which is capable of switching between sniper and shotgun modes. When you're sniping, it fires three shots at a time...and when you fire it from the hip, all three of those bullets immediately enter the skulls of any enemies you can see ahead of you.

This broke the game, naturally, but now that the issue has been fixed we can watch the video above and feel amused rather than annoyed. Look at all those guys drop simultaneously!

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The Call of Duty 4 Remastered release that was previously tethered to its Legacy Edition is now available separately.
