Sub-Zero is more than a match for Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in Injustice 2 gameplay

Injustice 2 grants us our first look at Sub-Zero in action.

Injustice 2 brings back the most popular DLC character from the first game: Mortal Kombat's Sub-Zero.

This first look at the crossover fighter in action shows he's got what it takes to face of against the DC superheroes who make up the rest of Injustice 2's cast. It's great to see so many nods to classic Sub-Zero movesets looking so natural in Injustice 2.

Sub-Zero is the second post-release DLC character for Injustice 2 after Red Hood. He'll be available to buy a la carte, but you can pre-order him with the Fighter Pack 1 season pass, which also includes Red Hood and Starfire.

Sub-Zero will become available in Injustice 2 in July. Red Hood is already available.

"How does Sub-Zero pee if his hands are ice now?" I asked James. "I imagine he's a sitter," James replied. It's good to know Sub-Zero will enjoy bladder health for many years to come; isn't he immortal or some such now? I can't keep up with the Mortal Kombat canon.

Injustice 2 is available on PS4 and Xbox One. Check in with our Injustice 2 tier guide and guide to levelling up fast if you're coming in from Mortal Kombat thanks to our masked friend here.

We recommend it; Injustice 2 received strong reviews and has one of the best single-player packages in a modern fighter, making Tekken 6 and launch-status Street Fighter 5 looks very bare in comparison.
