Overwatch - the ability to save your Play of the Game highlights is coming this summer

Soon, you'll be able to export your above-average Overwatch Play of the Game moments and save them for posterity.

If you cast your mind way back to the launch craziness of Overwatch, you may remember everyone enjoying the shooter's Play of the Game and highlight system. It got so big, people turned it into a meme.

Unfortunately, there's no easy way to export these hot clips outside the game. Sure, you can use capture software on PC or the built-in DVR on PS4 and Xbox One, but it's not done directly through the game.

Overwatch players have wanted the ability to hit a button and export their in-game triumphs into easy-to-share videos since launch, and it's only now we are hearing an update on it.

Game director Jeff Kaplan confirmed on Battle.net forums that this is actually coming sooner than we think. Kaplan promised that the feature will be live "before the end of summer."

So, it'll be here before September 22. The clock is ticking, Kaplan.
