Mass Effect: Andromeda's download size is about what you'd expect.

The pre-load for Mass Effect: Andromeda is quickly becoming available on PS4 and Xbox One. Reports on Reddit indicate that those with a digital pre-order can start downloading to be ready for launch.

In the case of PS4, only the North American side has pre-load files ready. The download size is 42.9GB.

As for Xbox One, the pre-load has gone live all over the world. The download size is comparable, at 42.19GB. This is particularly interesting for Xbox One players who plan to subscribe to EA Access in the coming days to try the game out before launch.

Neither of these include the day one patch, which BioWare promised but is yet to be made available.

We're still waiting on the PC version pre-load to go live. As for the European PlayStation Store, expect it to go live later today or tomorrow.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is out beginning March 21 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
