Battlefield 3 campaign frame-rate is better on Xbox One, but don't expect miracles

If you have to play Battlefield 3 on a console, the Xbox 360 version works great when played on Xbox One.

Earlier this week, Microsoft added a couple of big names to the list of Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One. Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2 were among the new additions.

In the video above, VG Tech goes through some parts of the campaign to test out the frame-rate and see if there are any improvements. The single-player of the game targets 30 frames-per-second, and it's kept it for the most part on Xbox 360.

On Xbox One, some of the drops have been smoothed out, especially those that happen out of cut-scenes.

Unfortunately, multiplayer wasn't tested as part of the video. Seeing as it's the place where most of the action happens - and thus the majority of frame-rate issues, it's disappointing. That said, we'll be surprised if the gains were quite as dramatic as Call of Duty 2.

So far, Call of Duty 2 is the game that saw the most notable improvement to its performance.
