Nier Automata demo maxes out at 1080p on PS4 Pro, but has noticeably less jaggies - video

Nier Automata's resolution sadly doesn't go above 1080p, even on PS4 Pro, but the image quality is definitely improved.

The Nier Automata demo came out over a week ago now, and has gotten a very positive response from fans everywhere. The demo is available on both PS4 and PS4 Pro, and in the video above, Alex puts the two side by side.

As previously confirmed, the game only goes up to 1080p on PS4 Pro. Of course, 4K TV owners will get an upscaled image, but there's only one mode available on PS4 Pro.

As you can in the video, the resolution bump (from 900p on the standard model) brings with it a decent clarity to the image, thanks to the removal of aliasing. Because Automata's world has a lot of angular-shaped objects, the benefits of the effect can be seen anywhere you look.

A higher quality motion blur appears to be in use, as well. You can judge it for yourself in the video.

Nier Automata is out March 7 on PS4, and sometime later on PC.
