The announcement comes from Niantic Labs along with news of a partnership with India's Reliance Jio digital stores, which will act as PokeStops and Gyms like Starbucks and Sprint stores in the US.

Jio, which is a mobile 4G broadband service company, will also open a chat channel on its its Jio chat app so Pokemon GO players can communicate with like-minded individuals.

Niantic added second generation Pokemon Togepi, Pichu, Magby, Elekid, Cleffa, Igglybuff and Smoochum today. If you need help trying to hatch the eggs which contain the babies, check out Alex's Pokemon Go: How to get all the new Pokemon via eggs: Togepi, Pichu, Igglybuff & more guide through the link.

Pokemon GO went live today in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
