Final Fantasy 15: here's a look at the Leviathan, character activities, guest characters and some soundtrack samples

Here's a ton of Final Fantasy 15 goodness for you in the form of screenshots, game information, guest characters and some fun videos featuring music from the soundtrack.

Let's get started with game details, provided alongside the screenshots by 4gamer and translated by Siliconera.

The Leviathan

First up is a look at the Leviathan. It's a summon which emerges from the water and "chews up enemies with its pointed mouth." Large monsters look rather small in comparison with the massive beast, according to the description.

Character Skills

Each of the main characters in the game have their own unique skills based on their interest and can be leveled up.

As previously reported, Noctis likes to fish and the more he catches, the more this skill will level. In the process, fishing equipment will also become less expensive at the shops. When coming across a body of water, yellow markers will appear showing where edible fish can be caught, and Ignis can use these fish when cooking.

Ignis cooks food for the group when camp has been setup. Ingredients can be acquired by defeating monsters, and as the band of friends travel across the land, Ignis will learn new recipes. Some of what he cooks are favorites of his, Gladiolus, Noctis and Prompto and when consumed, their command power will increase.

Prompto is really into photography, and takes pictures everywhere the group travels. Like the others, this skill increases the more he uses it, allowing him to take better pictures - and selfies too, apparently. Players can even save their favorite pictures taken by Prompto.

It's all about survival with Gladiolus, and after a battle is finished, he will find various items such as potions or coins dropped by the monsters. His skill level will increase just by walking around, and the more he levels, the chance for finding rare items will increase.

Temporary Allies

As the story in Final Fantasy 15 progresses, the guys will make friends along the way. These characters will fight with the group temporarily and commands can be issued and their attacks can be linked with the group's.

Cor Leonis is a general with a massive sword who uses his strength to help take down enemies. Iris Amicitia will use a over-sized Moogle in battle when Noctis successfully parries. As previously reported, these dolls can be tossed onto the battlefield to distract enemies.

Official Soundtrack Samples

With all out of that the way, let's listen to some samples of the music featured in the game.

Below are videos released by Square Enix on YouTube featuring what you'll hear in the game certain actions take place, while the guys are exploring or just kicking back a bit.

Blues de Chocobo - A Chocobo ranch! Imagine having one of these in real life. I'd never leave my property. Instead, I'd ride around on those cuties all day long. Maybe even train them in dressage.

Veiled in Black - some epic music for epic battles.

Valse di Fantastica - what's the point of driving around in the game without some lovely orchestral music playing in the background, right?

Relax and Reflect - this video shows the guys setting up camp, and takes a look at some of the delicious food Ignis will cook. Must be nice to have gourmet chef tagging along with you on your adventures.

Stand Your Ground - here's more battle music to get your blood pumping when fighting monsters.

Of course, we have no idea if the music featured in these videos actually plays when the actions depicted in the videos take place. What we do know, is what you hear above is part of the Official Final Fantasy 15 Soundtrack which will be released in Japan on December 21.

It's worth noting this soundtrack isn't the same one included in the Ultimate Collector’s Edition. The disc included features music from the game's universe with tracks from the animated Brotherhood: Final Fantasy 15 and the CG film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy 15.

Final Fantasy 15 will be released worldwide on November 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
