Mass Effect: Andromeda introduces a new race called the Kett, which may cause some UK players to wince a little

Mass Effect: Andromeda has a new species with a funny name.

Mass Effect: Andromeda introduces a new alien race called the Kett. Yep. Kett.

That's according to GameInformer's ongoing Mass Effect: Andromeda feature coverage, and you can go visit to check out a video about how the art team developed the race's look.

BioWare doesn't yet want to talk about the role the Kett play, but the video does say they're the antagonists. Since we've never seen them before we can probably assume they're native to the Andromeda galaxy. We'll have to wait till Mass Effect: Andromeda releases in 2017 to find out more.

According to Alex, in some parts of the UK the word "kett" means s**t. These things happen, since there are only so many sounds to go around, and at least it's attached to Mass Effect Andomedra's villains and not, oh, the main ship or the hero or whatever.
