Sony has announced that PlayStation Vue, its TV and sports streaming service, is coming to PC and Mac. The news was made in a post announcing the release of the Android TV version of the service.

Support for PC and Mac will be through a dedicated web page, without the need to own a PlayStation console. The same goes for the Android TV app, available now on TVs running Android OS 4.4 or higher.

The PC and Mac versions will include support for a mini-player that you can shrink to the corner of your browser. You can use your existing Vue account on any of these devices, or create a new one to get a seven-day free trial. You'll then need to link your account to your Android TV.

Sony did not set a date for the launch of PC and Mac support.
