Dark Souls 3 - Ashes of Ariandel DLC reviews - a new Painted World?

Did Dark Souls 3 just get its version of the Painted World of Ariamis, or is Ashes of Ariandel not worthy of such high praise?

It's been relatively quiet on the Dark Souls 3 end of things since the game's release back in April. Things are about to get more interesting, though, as the game's first add-on is quickly approaching.

Ashes of Ariandel is one of two DLCs planned for Dark Souls 3. It's out next week, and reviews are starting to make their way online, though there aren't many. Ashes of Ariandel adds a new snowy area, complete with two bosses and a bunch of new enemies and weapons.

One of the biggest draws of the DLC is a new PvP arena, which From Software added as a response to the popularity of the mode in Dark Souls 3.

Ashes of Ariandel is priced $15, or free if you own the season pass. It's out October 25 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
