Final Fantasy 15 will support HDR on Xbox One S

Final Fantasy 15 joins the growing list of titles that support HDR on Xbox One S.

Final Fantasy 15 will come with support for high dynamic range (HDR) support on launch. Strangely, the announcement didn't come from Square Enix.

Instead, it was Xbox boss Phil Spencer who shared the news, and his excitement, through Twitter.

HDR was added with Xbox One S, and is not available on any of the older versions. The mode enables a much brighter image and richer colours in TVs that support it, and has since been adoped by a number of games including Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4, and most recently, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

By comparison, HDR is available on all PlayStation 4 models, thanks to a firmware update.

Final Fantasy 15 is out on PS4, Xbox One on November 29.
