Dishonored 2's Corvo duels with Clockwork Soldiers in this gameplay video

Dishonored 2 arrives in just over a month, hearalding a return to its bleak yet surprisingly imaginative steampunk world. And if the latest previews are anything to judge the game by, it will absolutely be worth the wait. As an example, take the latest video from our own Arekkz when he visited Bethesda for a hands-on playthrough of Dishonored 2.

The video largely speaks for itself, but for me the most exciting thing are the sheer variety of playstyles. Not only can players mix between stealth, shooting, and non-lethal combat as needed, there are countless emergent scenarios which could arise as you explore the environments. Take the Clockwork Soldiers, a robotic enemy which tracks movement not by sight but by sound. While that makes them dangerous, it also means you can trick them into attacking human enemies simply by luring them in the right direction - as Arekkz learned to his delight.

We also get a glimpse into Corvo's abilities in the new game, and how they will compare to those of the second protagonist, Emily. Arekkz will be following up with additional Dishonored 2 content at a later date, but you can have your first taste by clicking on the above video.

Dishonored 2 launches for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 11, 2016.
