Watch the PS4 Slim being dismantled in this video

If you're the type who loves to look at the components inside a game console, here's a video which cracks open, and takes pieces of the PlayStation 4 Slim system apart.

Watch on YouTube

In the video posted on YouTube, Links-Tech (thanks, GamesRadar) not only takes everything apart, but provides a bit of information on the console.

According to him, the console doesn't support 4K, comes in both 500GB and 1TB models, and while it runs rather quiet, it gets rather hot almost immediately, as various rumblings from those in the know have heard, previously. If you head through the link there to RealModScene, you can also take a look at stills.

PS4 Slim is also said to include support for 5Ghz WiFi networks, which is a step-up from 2.4Ghz support in both former and current PlayStation consoles.

This is just the most recent leak for the Slim console. Eurogamer's Digital Foundry visited the house of someone who managed to get hold of one last month and was able to video the console booting up and what have you. Eurogamer had to remove the video after receiving “legal advice.”

Another leak occurred in August as well, via an unboxing video showing the 500GB model.

Leaked stock of the consoles in everyone's hands was said to have come from United Arab Emirates (UAE), which seems to be a haven for broken street dates.

The Slim version of PS4 is expected to be revealed alongside PS4 Neo at tomorrow's PlayStation Meeting. Sources suggest Sony will announce the Slim being made available for purchase either right away or later this month.

Sony's PlayStation Meeting is scheduled for 3:00pm on September 7 at the PlayStation Theater in New York. It will be relief for all involved to finally put all the Neo rumors and Slim leaks to bed.

Hopefully, like the initial PS4 reveal, Sony will announce some interesting titles coming alongside the system.

We will not only have a man on the ground at the event tomorrow, but we'll be bringing you the news out of the meeting as it happens.
