Battlefield 1 "simulating extreme launch situations" to test servers

Expect some downtime.

The Battlefield 1 beta is still live and there's still no confirmed end date so make the most of it while you can - although we're guessing it'll be September 8.

That being said, you may hit a wall with that as starting today, the servers are being stress tested to simulate "extreme launch situations." So if you're struggling to get into a match, have a tea and biscuit break and try again a bit later.

So far the beta has done a bang up job of serving its purpose and some changes have already been implemented based on feedback.

According to players on reddit, Conquest has been updated to have no time limit. Instead, it's the first team to reach 300 points that takes the win.

Apparently the timer has also been scrapped in Rush, meaning that it's all down to the ticket count.

If you've been playing the beta, are these welcome changes or do you prefer timed matches?

Battlefield 1 is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 21.
