Ubisoft has announced a whole bunch of For Honor details out of gamescom 2016. First up, the upcoming closed alpha start and end dates have been revealed.

The alpha kicks off on September 15 and will go offline September 18. This test will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but the number of players Ubisoft is letting in will be limited. More details about the content of the alpha will be revealed later. For now, you can register on the website for a chance to be selected.

Ubisoft also released a new trailer that showcases the distinct abilities of each of the game's three classes - the Viking, Samurai, and Knights. There are 12 playable heroes in total, split into four different types.

These types don't quite dictate the way you play, according to Ubisoft, but are more of a representation of each class' characteristics. Classes also vary in usefulness depending on the mode. The four are Vanguards, Assassins, Heavies, and Hybrids.

Finally, the publisher confirmed that the PC version will be developed by Blue Byte, the studio responsible for Anno and The Settlers. Blue Byte has also done some work on Rainbow Six Siege, and the PC version of For Honor is looking like it's ticking the right boxes.

Mouse and keyboard support as well as an array of graphics options are promised, including multi-monitor and 4K support. Controller support will obviously be there.

For Honor is out February 14 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One
