Destiny: Rise of Iron's artifacts will offer 'game-changing customization'
While artifacts haven't typically meant a great deal in Destiny previously, the artifacts in Rise of Iron will potentially change the way you play.
As explained by Arekkz in the video above, the eight new artifacts in Rise of Iron massively alter your abilities.
He goes through all eight new artifacts in turn, discussing the different abilities they'll grant you and the strategic potential these new abilities may afford players.
These abilities are not minor. The Memory of Geleon artifact, for example, gives you permanent access to a detailed radar. The Memory of Felwinter makes you lose your super in exchange for an extra grenade and melee charge, as well as boosted stats.
There's a possible ninth and tenth artifact hinted at, as well - it seems Bungie wants to hold onto something for players to discover during the game.
Destiny: Rise of Iron releases September 20 on PS4 and Xbox One.
