Get your hands on the first public demo of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game at gamescom 2016

Those attending gamescom 2016 next month should stop by CD Projekt's booth.

Why you ask? Because The Witcher 3 developer will be hosting the first ever public hands on with its standalone version of Gwent.

The developer said today that demos for Gwent: The Witcher Card game will be held in hall 8 at booth B-053 for the duration of the conference.

A trademark for the standalone version of Gwent popped up in June before the game was officially announced during E3 2016 with the news it would contain multiple ten-hour single-player campaigns.

You can sign up for the closed PC and Xbox One beta through here.

In case you weren't able to secure days tickets for gamescom 2016, which are currently sold out, we'll be covering anything interesting out the show. It's not nearly as exciting as going, obviously, but at least you'll be able to get some news out of it at home.

The annual event takes place in Cologne, Germany August 17-21.

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is in development for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
