See how the Beastmen play in new Total War: Warhammer campaign walkthrough

A new playstyle for those who pick up Total War: Warhammer - Call of the Beastmen.

Total War: Warhammer - Call of the Beastmen isn't just a faction pack; it's the strategy game's first proper add-on, and includes a mini-campaign all of its own.

But yeah: we're in it for the new faction, hey. The Beastmen are a horde faction, but they're not like the others in Total War: Warhammer. All Beastmen units have a trait which prevents horde in-fighting, which means you're ale to make much greater use of hordes - fielding multiple hordes at once, for example, or using a more experienced horde to mentor a younger one.

Also, as Beastmen hordes fight, their Bestial Rage rating rises. When this maxes out it spawns a new brayherd, which is pretty handy.

Another feature of the Beastmen is that they worship the dark moon, so you'll periodically have to oversee their rituals, with various costs and benefits to you. Since the moon moves on a cycle, you can plan on having various bonuses at particular points in your campaign.

We've had two other Total War: Warhammer - Call of the Beastmen videos so far. One introduced the DLC (and leaked ahead of time) while the other showed off the unique minotaur unit.

Total War: Warhammer - Call of the Beastmen launches July 28.
