More details will be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show.
On the final day of this year's Evo tourament, community leader Mark “MarkMan” Julio was joined on stage by Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono and Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada, to announce that Japan would be getting their own Evo tournament.
An Evo tournament was going to take place in Japan back in 2010 during an existing fighting event, but was indefinitely postponed in the wake of the Tohoku Earthquakes.
We'll know more about the event at the Tokyo Game Show in September, so expect more updates then.
