First major DOOM DLC detailed, free demo incoming, and VR mode inbound

DOOM got a major update at Bethesda's E3 2016 conference.

The first major DLC pack is called Unto The Evil and delivers new maps, a playable demon called the Harvester, a new gun and new armour.

New game modes are on the way to multiplayer, including Exodus (a capture-the-flag mode) and Sector, which will be similar to King of the Hill. New free-for-all modes are also coming.

Bethesda also announced a VR version of DOOM, with support for the HTC Vive. No further details were revealed.

Finally, a free demo consisting of DOOM's first level will e available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One for a limited time starting tomorrow.
