E3 2016 hint suggests Serious Sam 4 reveal

Serious Sam publisher Devolver Digital has dropped an interesting comment regarding its E3 2016 line-up which suggests we may get a look at Croteam's latest. Take a look below:

"A new Croteam title, eh?" we said. "Could it be The Talos Principle 2, which was very quietly announced last month?"

But if so - why not just say that? And why would Croteam share the Tweet on its Facebook page with the comment "things are getting serious"?

Yeah, we have a pretty good feeling that this is the Serious Sam 4 reveal. And about time, too; Serious Sam 3: BFE first released in 2011, and we've been waiting on this reveal since at least mid 2013, when Croteam threw a Humble Bundle to help fund Serious Sam 4.

A late 2014 release window came and went, and Croteam turned its attention to The Talos Principle. But things have been progressing, and we know Serious Sam 4 will benefit from advances in technology in the interim.

The mystery title will be available for demos during the show, but we can probably expect an announce too. Since Devolver is a PC-first publisher we would have thought to see Sam at the PC Gaming Show, but it has not been confirmed as a participant. Maybe Devolver's signed a big-ass console deal and we'll see somewhere else on the E3 2016 schedule?
