Dark Souls 3 player uses Chameleon to trick invaders, not hide from them

Dark Souls 3, like other Souls games, features a spell you can use to blend in with the environment.

It's called Chameleon and it changes your look to resemble that of something in the environment, and varies based on the area. The main use of this spell is helping players who get invaded avoid their invaders. Untrained eyes will scan for the host for a while, before eventually giving up and moving on.

Of course, you can use Chameleon to do the opposite of hiding, as YouTuber DamnNoHtml's video below illustrates.

As you're about to see, the player is actually using the sorcery to lure invaders, only to parry them at the right moment when they least expect it.
