One of the oldest MMOs out there is shutting down on all platforms except PC.

Final Fantasy 11, the Square Enix MMO that first launched on the PlayStation 2 in 2002, is ending its run. Final Fantasy 11 came out on Xbox 360 and PC afterwards, but only the latter will survive.

The publisher indicated this would happen a year ago, and today, servers will be taken offline on both PS2 and Xbox 360.

Servers go offline at 7am PDT. You can continue playing on PC, without the need to buy a new copy.

The Windows version supports all modern operating systems, up to and including Windows 10, though Square has warned of some compatibility issues with certain drivers or programmes.

If you're still playing, you learn more through the official announcement.
