Overwatch - PC and console versions to be balanced separately

Blizzard will keep the PC and console versions of Overwatch separate, in terms of game balance.

Overwatch will be the first Blizzard game to release on PC and consoles simultaneously. It's also the studio's first shooter.

With that in mind, Blizzard wants to have game balance in the console versions be applicable only there, and the same way for PC.

"We don't want to do anything that would harm PCs because of console tuning," game director Jeff Kaplan told Th3Jez in an interview. "And there's been a lot of unease about 'I play on this platform, which means the other one is going to ruin it for us' and we wouldn't do that."

On the subject of Weekly Brawls, the game's Hearthstone-style custom mode, Kaplan revealed that more rewards will be attached to it, giving players an incentive to log in each week.

The interview goes on to discuss the game's roster, upcoming heroes, and much more.
