Update 2: Another issue has cropped up on both Xbox One and Xbox 360, affecting Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Black Ops 2. Microsoft said it's working on it, but you will run into trouble trying to connect to game servers.

Update: The issues have been fixed, and everything is back to normal.

Original story: Microsoft has updated the Xbox Live status page with a new alert that affects Xbox One users.

The issue covers social and gaming on the console, which affects a wide range of functions including in-game matchmaking, friend finding, game DVR, avatar editing, leaderboards, and cloud storage.

Other "core" services such as signing in, creating or managing accounts, remain unaffected.

The service alert was posted a few minutes ago, but we will update you when things change.
