New Star Wars Battlefront hotfix squashes 'instant level 60' bug

Star Wars Battlefront has received a small hotfix today.

With the release of Tuesday's big content patch for Star Wars Battlefront, came a nasty bug that DICE is fixing today.

The bug allowed some users to reach level 60 (the new max level) instantly in a round, which would then be followed by a crash at the end of that round. DICE has now reset ranks for these players to their original levels, and released a hotfix for all platforms.

Servers are also in the process of getting restarted, and should be already back online for PC and PlayStation 4, with Xbox One going live in a few minutes.

"We apologize for any inconvenience but this step is necessary so that you can properly gain levels again and avoid crashes at the end of rounds," wrote the game's community manager.
