PS4 & Xbox One owners more interested in VR than PC players, survey finds

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners are more interested in virtual reality than PC gamers, according to a recent survey.

Console owners across Europe are more interested in the prospect of virtual reality than PC gamers. A new survey by Ipsos reveals that 63 percent of consoles players expressed interested in the technology, whereas only 51 percent of PC gamers were keen.

Restricting the results to only show PS4 and Xbox One owners against PC players, reveals an even bigger percentage at 72 percent. The variance in price has nothing to do with it, as the survey specifically asked participants to ignore pricing.

It's important to note, however, that the price of PlayStation VR - which was recently revealed to be $400 - was not known at the time when this survey was conducted.

Survey responses come from the UK, France, Spain, and Germany. See GamesIndustry for a breakdown of these percentages.
