Absolutely damned glorious indie Jotun headed to consoles

Jotun is coming to PS4, Wii U and Xbox One in northern summer.

Have you heard of Jotun? It's a sort of isometric action game where you run about taking on creatures from Norse mythology. The whole thing is hand-drawn and absolutely, gloriously beautiful.

There are nine levels and five jotuns (bosses), and a pretty awesome protagonist in disgraced warrior Thora. Your main weapon is a huge axe but you'll quickly add a bunch of god-granted powers to your arsenal. Nevertheless the focus is more on exploration than whacking enemies - although the boss fights are very challenging.

Also it has terrific soundtrack and authentic Icelandic voiceovers. The whole thing is so lovely that it has outstanding user ratings on Steam as well as a pretty good Metacritic average.

You can check it out on Linux, Mac and PC but console fans can have a go when Jotun: Valhalla Edition hits PS4, Xbox One and Wii U in northern summer. Check out the trailer below:
