Rainbow Six Siege server update improves Ranked Play

Today's Rainbow Six Siege update should improve the quality of ranked matches.

Ubisoft has deployed a new server-side update to Rainbow Six Siege that's aimed at improving the quality of matches you get in Ranked play.

To reach this goal, the developer changed the relaxation parameters for players' rated Skill Rank. This means that you'll be matched with player closer to your rank a lot more often.

As it stands now, in an effort to reduce matchmaking times, players get matched too quickly and matches often end up lopsided. Once the update has been applied, match times could be longer, but matched players will be a lot closer in skill.

The update was applied a couple of hours ago on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It's coming to PC today after a brief downtime that starts at 15:30 am GMT.
